The venue clusters and how far apart they really are

Distances in Los Angeles are deceptive. Inglewood to Downtown is roughly 12 miles, but during a Games-time evening it can take as long as a trip that looks twice as far on the map. Long Beach to the Valley crosses the entire basin.

Plan your days around a single cluster whenever possible, and treat any cross-basin movement as a dedicated block of time rather than a gap between two sessions.

• Inglewood: SoFi Stadium, Intuit Dome, Kia Forum — closest to LAX.
• Downtown / Exposition Park: Crypto.com Arena, Peacock Theater, the Coliseum, BMO Stadium.
• South Bay & Long Beach: coastal and water-sport venues, convention facilities and the cruise terminal.
• Valley & Pasadena: the Rose Bowl and supporting venues, best reached outside peak hours.

Road closures, secure perimeters and drop-off points

Major Games create secure perimeters around venues. Vehicles are typically stopped several blocks out, and the last stretch is on foot. That is normal and it is planned for — the difference between a smooth arrival and a bad one is knowing the authorized drop-off point in advance.

Airports will be under real pressure

LAX will carry the bulk of Games traffic, with Hollywood Burbank, John Wayne, Long Beach and Ontario absorbing overflow. Private aviation volume at Van Nuys, Hawthorne and the LAX private terminals rises sharply during global events.
